When it comes to weddings, some couples dream of grand celebrations while others yearn for something more intimate. For this Adrianna and Shoin, a DTLA micro wedding was the perfect way to tie the knot. Their closest friends and family traveled from around the world for this celebration—focusing on meaningful moments, delicious food, and beautiful surroundings. Here’s a glimpse into their wedding day, from the inspiration behind the celebration to their favorite moments.

Adrianna and Shoin’s journey began on Bumble! In today’s world, online dating apps are an increasingly common way for couples to connect, and for them, it led to a love story that would eventually unfold in one of Los Angeles’ most stylish and intimate wedding venues.

An Intimate Celebration
Adrianna and Shoin’s inspiration for their wedding day was simple but impactful—an elegant, intimate dinner party. With around 50 guests, they aimed to create a warm and inviting atmosphere where their friends and family could mingle and enjoy the night. The couple didn’t want anything too grand; rather, they wanted a celebration that felt personal, cozy, and full of love.

Finding the Right Venue
When searching for a wedding venue in DTLA, Adrianna and Shoin knew they wanted a space that had fantastic food, a modern atmosphere, and a cozy vibe. Redbird, with its unique menu choices, fantastic ambiance, and stunning outdoor courtyard, checked all the boxes. Although planning the wedding from abroad made it challenging to visit in person, Adrianna and Shoin fell in love with pictures of previous weddings at Redbird, and the venue’s charm was undeniable.

When it came to the wedding style, simplicity was key. The venue did much of the heavy lifting in terms of ambiance, but Adrianna and Shoin added their own touches—like bright, summery florals to contrast with the lush greenery of the space. A long candle-lit dinner table set the stage for an evening of connection and celebration. The couple placed a strong emphasis on having their guests mingle, as this rare opportunity for the extended family to come together was truly special.

Adrianna and Shoin’s DTLA micro wedding was a beautiful testament to what can happen when you prioritize intimacy, personal touches, and a thoughtful celebration. From the stunning venue to the unforgettable moments shared with loved ones, it was a day that they will cherish forever. If you’re planning a small but impactful micro wedding, take notes from Adrianna and Shoin’s journey—sometimes, less is more, and intimacy is everything.
