On the most gorgeous summer day in Los Angeles, a stunning wedding celebration unfolded at the renowned Redbird restaurant in DTLA. The event blended modern details with traditional Jewish elements, showcasing custom artwork, vibrant table designs, and heartfelt Jewish rituals, creating a truly memorable experience for the Alex, April, and their guests.

April and Alex met in college through a mutual friend who, unbeknownst to them, would later play the role of cupid. Their first date was in 2014, and the rest, as they say, is history! The couple brought me on their planning journey early on and it was truly a blast to work with them. April and Alex both have incredible taste and put guest experience and accommodations at the forefront of every planning decision. The result? A day that was warm and inviting, meaningful, and elegant in an approachable way.
Inspiration for Their Wedding
The couple envisioned a wedding that captured the essence of California without leaning too heavily on beach or Palm Springs themes. Their goal was to showcase the state’s natural beauty through outdoor elements and stunning florals. They also wanted to incorporate Jewish wedding traditions while ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable experience for all guests.
Redbird’s indoor-outdoor venue, beautiful ambiance, and exceptional food made it the perfect choice for their wedding. The couple appreciated the intimate and homey feel of the space while still maintaining an elevated and sophisticated atmosphere.

Behind The Design
As a Los Angeles wedding planner, I worked with April and Alex from the initial design concept to execution. It all started with a Tom Killion painting. We drew inspiration from the couple’s favorite artist when first conceptualizing the color palette and overall vibe. We created a wedding design that blended California elements with Mediterranean vacation vibes. Warm sunset colors, ceramics, and wood complemented the overall aesthetic, while the custom artwork from Natalia Bagniewska added a vibrant and personal touch.

As a Los Angeles wedding planner, I loved working with April and Alex to create their dream wedding. From the initial design concept to the day-of logistics management, it was a truly rewarding experience to witness their vision come to life. Their trust in my expertise allowed me to guide them through the planning process and ensure that every detail was executed flawlessly. It was a privilege to be a part of their special day and to create lasting memories for them and their guests.
