As this year begins to come to a close, I wanted to take an moment and reflect on the amazing projects I’ve had the opportunity to work on this year. 2018 held many special couples and incredible weddings. It has also been a year of growth for Jessica Foster Event Planning with a re brand over the summer, and first ever styled shoot which was published on The Perfect Palette in September.

This year I’ve had the opportunity to meet some great people in the business and have built relationships that I value dearly. Believe it or not, all of our weddings in 2018 were first time venues for the JFP team including our first trip up the coast to Los Altos! 2018 also held what I hope will be a once in a career situation: relocating a wedding in 1 day. That’s right. In case you missed it in Instagram stories, our last wedding of the year fell victim to the November Malibu fires. But I believe we had our own guardian angel because with the help and flexibility of our entire vendor team, and the grace of Maravilla Gardens, we were able to move the wedding, and all was beautiful and well on the wedding day. Talk about ending the season with a bang!

Thank you especially to my team of assistants, Joann, Jodi, and Christina who help to make each couples day beautiful, and support me through the craziness. And thank you to all of the vendors that have partnered with us this year in helping to create a special day for our couples. It takes a village and I truly appreciate being able to work with some incredibly talented and professional people.

Lastly, thank you to my lovely husband Chris for always supporting me in this business and and listening to my rants. And also for lending your carpentry skills for some of our wedding DIY items! Love you boo!

My first ever styled shoot came together with the collaboration of so many incredible vendors. This was such a fun experience and I cannot wait for the next one! See the full feature with links to the entire vendor team on the Perfect Palette. Photos by Peterson Design and Photo

It was all about romance and elegance for Jackie and Justin’s wedding at Skirball LA. Guests enjoyed an amazing array of international cuisine appetizer stations and cocktails hand picked by the bride and groom! Photos by Alicia Mink

I was so excited to work with bride Linda on bringing her wedding vision together. Working with this amazing boss babe and her husband Dan on their classic wedding at Hummingbird Nest Ranch was a dream! See more of their full wedding in the blog! Photos by Philip Tran

It was old Hollywood glam, and rich fall colors for Tanya and Ian’s wedding in DTLA at the historic Oviatt Penthouse! This end of ceremony photo with the tossed colored confetti is my absolute favorite! Photos by Alexes Lauren Photography

Sydney and Gui’s wedding was our first visit up the coast and the local vendors were so welcoming and a absolute pleasure to work with. This day was filled with so many happy tears. So thankful for these two! Photos by Anna Delores

Megan and Tom’s intimate ceremony and family style dinner at Redbird in downtown Los Angeles was full of style and sophistication. These two took a non traditional approach for their celebration and the evening was total magic! Photos By Caca Santoro for Max and Friends

It’s not often that you get to help plan your best friends wedding. It was a dream working with Jennie and David on this beautiful day at Brookview Ranch and I still look back with so much love for these two! As beautiful as they are, I feel like pup Darcie was the star of the photos! Photos by Jordan Galindo

High school sweethearts Madeline and Steven’s wedding was another one full of emotion at Millwick in the Arts District. These two have something quite unique and guests and vendors alike were awestruck by their love story. Photos by Jes Workman

Last but most definitely not least, we have 2 very sweet people that I’ve had the honor of working with for the past year. I am so thrilled that within 24 hours we were able to relocate this entire wedding, and Ali and Mike could have the wedding they had dreamed and planned for. This wedding can be overshadowed by the craziness in losing your venue the day before your wedding day. But there is so much more to their story, and every thought and detail that was put into this wedding. Excited to share more of this story soon! Photos by Susan Bordelon
