As we look ahead to the weddings of 2025, it’s an exciting time for couples to shape their special day with personalized touches and emerging trends. From indulgent late-night treats to innovative twists on desserts and guest experiences, these emerging trends are all about allowing couples’ unique personalities to take center stage on their special day. Let’s delve into some of the most exciting 2025 wedding trends that promise to inspire and captivate.

Big and Bold

With the rising costs of flowers, my couples are opting for 1-2 statement areas to focus the floral budget. These WOW moments are often the focus of the ceremony decor, but we’re starting to see them in unexpected places that feel so fresh! I used to not care about bar florals. But for 2025 weddings, I love seeing this as a statement focal point that guests can enjoy all night.

Fruit + Vegetables

In the ever-evolving landscape of wedding decor, a delightful new trend is blossoming: the incorporation of fruits and vegetables into floral designs. Gone are the days of solely relying on blooms to adorn tables and venues. Now, couples are infusing their celebrations with the vibrant colors and organic textures of nature’s bounty. Picture lush centerpieces adorned with seasonal fruits like pomegranates, figs, and grapes, intermingled with verdant foliage and delicate blooms. From cascading grapevine garlands to citrus-filled bouquets, the possibilities are as endless as the garden itself.

The Continuation of Full Wedding Weekends

I talked about this as a 2024 trend and this one looks to be holding true for 2025. Many of my couples are destination LA weddings and for that reason are planning a weekend full of festivities for their guests. From casual welcome dinners, after parties at the hotel, and poolside brunch the day after. 2025 couples are making their wedding weekend an all out retreat for guests.

Desserts: Something Old, Something New

The vintage cake trend doesn’t seem to be slowing down, but I’m also witnessing couples opting for something unexpected and less traditional. From pavlova to structural cake shapes and soft-serve ice cream, couples are less focused on tradition and more interested in a fresh take on desserts they actually enjoy!

Less is More

This one can vary from couple to couple, but it appears that 2025 couples are opting for minimal yet intentional decor. They are drawn to venues with existing beautiful spaces that don’t require a lot of fluff. This approach also aligns with their budget: by minimizing decor, they can allocate funds to other areas that hold higher priority, such as food and music.

Late Night is the New Normal

As dusk descends and the stars twinkle above, a new normal emerges in the world of weddings: couples opting for late-night food extravaganzas. No longer confined to traditional sit-down dinners or buffets, newlyweds are embracing the allure of late-night bites to keep the celebration alive. My one tip for couples: anything greasy and carb heavy. Food trucks, nachos, fried chicken bites, pizza, burgers and fries are just some of the favorites I’ve seen this year.

In this era of personalized weddings, late-night feasting is not just a culinary indulgence but a reflection of the couple’s desire to create unforgettable moments for their guests, ensuring that the joyous spirit of the occasion lingers long after the last dance.

A New Take on Tradition

As my couples tend to be on the non-traditional side, I often witness a plethora of fun and fresh takes on wedding traditions. Whether it’s spending the morning together, forgoing a wedding party, or choosing to walk down the aisle together, couples today are adding their own twist to traditions and crafting their wedding day exactly as they desire.

Entertainment and Experience

I love to see couples who prioritize the guest experience. Recently, I’ve noticed a remarkable surge in this trend, with couples wholeheartedly embracing it by incorporating unique experiences for their guests to savor. Whether it’s the presence of portrait artists capturing moments in time, personalized coffee orders adding a touch of warmth, 360 photobooths immersing guests in unforgettable memories, or bespoke poems crafted on the spot, couples are infusing their wedding day with boundless joy and excitement that leave lasting memories.
